Founded in 1863, Edelrid is the world's finest rope manufacturer. The inventer of the kernmantel rope in 1953, Edelrid has not stopped its innovation over the years and in 1964 develop the dynamic rope. They have a strong environmental ethic, their ropes are all bluesign® certified. In 2018 they produced the first PFC free dry treated climbing rope that meets the UIAA standard. Edelrid still produce all of their rockclimbing ropes in Germany.
